NCDF…more to come!

November 7, 2011 § Leave a comment

The Greensboro performances of the NC Dance Festival went very well this weekend!  Thanks to all who came out to see the performances!

The season isn’t over yet–two big events are still to come.

On January 28, the NCDF is sponsoring a Community Day in downtown Greensboro.  Come in the morning for master classes with Gary Taylor, of the Winston-Salem Festival Ballet, and Helen Simoneau, and stay for an afternoon of informal performances by choreographers from Charlotte, the Triad, and the Triangle.  We are also offering an opportunity for choreographers to have a professional-quality DVD made of one of their dance works.  Check our website in the coming weeks for more info about these events!

Then, our final performance of the NCDF tour will be in Wilmington February 24-26.  Don’t miss your last chance of the season to see the talented NC artists on this year’s tour.

Want to tour with the NC Dance Festival?  Send us a video of the dance you’d like to be considered for next year’s touring roster of artists.  Application instructions are on our website.  We consider high-quality choreography in multiple dance forms, not just modern dance and ballet.  Have a suggestion for a choreographer or company you’d like to see on the tour?  Leave your ideas in the comments forum of this post!

Coming up on the blog: Get a behind-the-scenes look (literally!) at some of the performing artists backstage at the Greensboro and Boone performances, and find out about the outreach activities the Festival sponsors each year!
