NCDF Reaches Out

November 21, 2011 § Leave a comment

Each year, as part of the NCDF season, we offer master classes with the Festival artists in each city.  In Greensboro, we are able to conduct an extensive outreach program, sending Festival artists into local schools and community centers to teach and perform.

So far this season, Festival artists have taught a total of 11 master classes–7 of those in Greensboro–and performed mini-concerts at 3 Greensboro schools.

Check out these photos from some of our recent outreach activities!

Diego Carrasco Schoch taught a free community class at the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center on Saturday, Nov 5.

Caroline Calouche & Co. visited Penn-Griffin School of the Arts in High Point to teach a master class in contact improvisation.  The students did a great job!

Robin Gee taught a master class in African dance at Peeler Open Elementary School in Greensboro to 4th graders in Teresa Lowell’s dance class.  They were so excited to have a special guest visiting them!
