Behind the Scenes with the Van Dyke Dance Group

October 30, 2012 § 1 Comment

Over the summer, Dance Project attended a rehearsal of the Van Dyke Dance Group, as they worked on resetting the 2011 work, “Time.”  Set to music by Philip Glass, this work for five dancers explores group dynamics through formal design and evocative gesture.  Earlier in the season, Jan Van Dyke spoke about the themes that emerged during the choreographic process.

Here are some of the rehearsal photos; come see the dance itself this weekend, on Friday, November 3 at 8:00pm.
